Summary of Employee Benefits

The following health and welfare benefits are offered at Primus. Eligibility to receive these benefits vary by employee type, number of hours scheduled to work, and work location. Each of the eligibility requirements are outlined in the respective summary plan description. These plans are identified below, along with the associated semi-monthly cost via pre-taxed payroll deduction.

Medical – CIGNA Healthcare, Inc.
Primus offers two medical plan options for you to select, based on your location, for you to choose.

Prescription Benefits are offered through CIGNA. This is a pharmacy co-pay plan at no additional cost to you, with the option of mail order prescriptions.

Primus offers both Healthcare and Dependent Care flexible spending accounts.

Ancillary Benefits – Reliance Standard
Primus provides the following coverage at no cost to you:

  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance – 2 times your annual base salary up to a maximum of $330,000.
  • Employee Life Insurance – 2 times your annual base salary up to a maximum of $330,000.
  • Spousal and Dependent Life Insurance – Up to $5,000 for spouse and $2,000 per eligible dependent.
  • Short Term Disability - 66 2/3% of your weekly salary up to a maximum of $1,500.
  • Long Term Disability – 66 2/3% of your monthly salary up to a maximum of $20,000.

401(k) Plan – Principal Financial
Primus offers a 401(k) Plan that allows you to save for the future and helps you supplement your retirement income. On the first of the quarter following your date of hire, you will be automatically enrolled in the 401(k) Plan (unless your start date is on the 1ST of the quarter, in which case effective immediately).

Primus matches 50%, up to 6% of salary deferred with an annual maximum match of $2,000. Primus match is in cash and is directed towards your investment selections.

Vacation Leave
Vacation leave is accrued each pay period, but may be used before accrued. Vacation leave may be carried over each year up to a maximum of 40 hours. Please see below for the accrual rates.

Sick Leave
If you are a regular, full-time employee, you will accrue 1.67 hours of sick leave each pay period for an annual amount of five (5) days. Sick leave carries over to the following year up to a maximum of 160 hours.
